Here’s Matus, an internationally published photographer and visual artist with over 13 years of experience in photography.

I work with passionate people and brands who value creative photography and good design. Together, we can develop the perfect visuals for the press, your website, and social media!

Currently based in Heraklion on the island of Crete in Greece, and open to travel around, should an interesting assignment arise.

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

People are books. It takes time to find the right page, to get to know a person. Sometimes eternity, sometimes a split-second. These are the moments I am looking for.

DANCE & THEATRE PHOTOGRAPHY

Dance is a big challange for me. As a long-time student of capoeira and relatively new to contact improvisation, I still find hard to let my rigidity go. I have to go through the labyrinth every time to surrender and find the joy.

Thanks to my connection with movement, I am able to capture when others engage in corporal dialogues. These are imprints, frozen or blurry words from an (un)conscious conversation and a stream of expressive search for connection. I have been working with various dance schools in Portugal and Greece, taking care of their professional photography.

ABOUT ME

I’m an internationally published Hungarian photographer and visual artist born in Slovakia with over 13 years of experience based in Crete, Greece. I am self-taught and love learning new things within the creative industry. This allows me to cover most of the visual aspects of any business.

While living in Spain, I had taken many courses to study drawing, mixed media, human anatomy, and unconventional mediums to develop my creativity. Besides photography, I love to work with watercolors and ink.

Now, I help ambitious artists, brands and individuals to improve their online image so they can look professional and stand out above their competitors. I truly love meeting new clients and help them achieve their goals!
